You can bet I'll have the dremel ready the day I pick her up from the dealer.

Well, I'm not planning on making a true ram setup or anything - as long as it allows air to flow into the upper section of the engine compartment, or at least into the stream of air flowing from the upper grill, without passing over the radiator for too long, it will lower the temperature of the air flowing over the cone filter by at least a little bit. And at that point, its doing its job.

Well said.

Yep the challenger ones don't function either. So you must go aftermarket.

That seems to be the standard respone to something that is not quite up to expectations. The response from everyone is "Don't Worry" you can take care of it with after market parts".

Would it not be great if it came with the wider backend and the functional front scoop and rear scoop in front of the rear tires. I do not know about you but I would be one happy camper.

Question--Is the RS's hood bulge the same as the SS's? It appears that way to me and if so, that's pretty lame that a V-6 would get the same hood treatment. It's unlike the 4th gens, with the different hoods for the V-6/Z-28 and then the SS hood, which I put on my '95 Z-28.

Well, I suppose they're using the scoop and lower fascia to differentiate between the two.

So far, we've only seen the RS package. For all we know, LS and LT trims have no bulge at all.

This is possible, but "Alternate, more aggressive hood" was not listed as part of the RS package, so it doesn't seem likely.

How many times have people told you it is the same width as the concept. The rear of the cab is wider to fit to grown people.

I was really hopeful the hood "slit" would be functional. Maybe they will have an SS only hood optional.

no hoods. Too expensive to manufacture. The slit isn't even on the hood anyways.
