Car is at Vive Auto Finishing & Detailing in Houston getting Opti-Coat Pro

Dropped my baby off at Vive Auto Detailing today. Owner is Anson Lau. A guy I know who has a couple of Porsches takes his cars there exclusively and recommended him.

Dropped it off for a 2 stage paint correction and 2 coats of Opti-Coat Pro.

I will post a full review as soon as I get the car back.

He posted a teaser shot on FB:

That's what I was thinking? Never heard of it.

Either way, put pics up when complete!

he said something about opticoat pro being able to be applied in 2 coats, vs opticoat 2.0 or opti-gaurd only being able to be applied in a single coat.

Either way, the cost was the same. I knew the paint needed correction, but I guess I didn't really see how bad it was... he walked around it with me and I was kind of in awe at it.

The FB post he put up was:

What a Multi-Step Paint Correction process can do for you?

This Chevrolet Camaro SS came in with a ton of swirl marks, heavy defects & hologram marks. Check out the behind the scenes action transforming the paint right before two coats of Opti-Coat Pro!

Maybe? I suppose it could add more protection and hey if it's the same price no sweat off your back.

Yeah it's hard to tell unless you're in direct sunlight or focused on with a light to see swirl marks, once it's cleared up you'll see a definite difference in clarity and depthness in the paint. Can't wait to paint correct mine.

I talked to David Ghadoussi in person (the chemist behind Opticoat) and this is actually one of the questions I asked him. He said there is no added benefit of two coats, but it doesn't hurt either.

OP, Opticoat is the shiznits, you will love it!

Good to know!

Hell yea I'm excited! Vive provides a loaner car too, its just a cheap enterprise rental car, but it's all included in the price so all the better given they will have the car until tomorrow afternoon.
