Well, them's some ignorant folks!

I'm not making this up...somebody asked me how I liked my new GT500 last year. I said "...it's a Camaro SS". He said "Oh, but it has the GT500 stripes."

Some people just know squat about cars

The title is whatever the VIN says it is. No matter what a sticker on the fender says, it's a Camaro.
You mean these guys that put ZL1 hood, bumper, rockers and wheels on their V6 don't hanve to retitle their car to a ZL1? LOL

It would be fun if they did. Actually, that's a good trolling joke

Haha yea I've been asked how I like my mustang? I just don't bother correcting them and say I love it.

Since when has Pontiac's counterpart to the Camaro been a GTO? lol!!! I don't dig it at all just because of that reason alone. Now some of the Trans Am conversions have looked so good that they could have very easily been a modern day 5th gen Pontiac Trans Am.

I sorta liked it until i seen the tail lights. Tach and speedo looked good but the steering wheel is kinda stupid.

Well, I would think as long as it don't say ZL1 anywhere and because it's not changing brands. It's still a camaro so it wouldn't make a big difference . It's V6 and SS ppl that do those mods .

I don't like it.

I say good on you. The average Pontiac inclined would have picked a Firebird translation and we have seen several of these that look great! This conversion is unique and actually was a concept for the next gen GTO. If Pontiac would have survived they may have chosen to pursue the GTO path vs Firebird with this platform. We will never know.

Some of the prices for the options on the actual eBay listing are a little crazy...

I like it. I also really like the Trans Am conversion pics I have seen. Why not. Damn, check out that house in the first post. If I could afford a house like that I think I would take a ZL1 and have it converted to T/A.

You know it could be good if it was truly custom and I don't doubt that the work was done in a quality way. Having said that, it still looks cheaply put together. That "GTO" just screams kit car and just doesn't look like all those new prefab piece fit well together.

Beside, why a GTO conversion when there was a GTO available not too long ago?
