Speaker size and upgrading interior speakers
Just verifying because I've read multiple answers on this. Also not sure of the front center dash speaker.
Also looking for recommendations on brands to swap out all interior speakers with and an amp replacement than I can hide in the same spot as our stock amp. Door speakers: 6.75" with 1" tweeters up top of the door panel Rear speakers; 6x9s Front center dash speaker: ???? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'd say 3-400ish on speakers and 3-500 for amplifier. I know the FARK harness will run me 130 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have read that a lot of peeps here disconnect that dash center speaker. They say it sounds better without it. Haven't done it myself, but maybe something to think about.

I was under the impression that the FARK harness eliminates the center speaker. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The best answer, hit all of the local shops and listen to what they have to offer as audio is very subjective.
Start with the fronts and an amp. You should hear a noticeable difference. Plus it saves you gutting the rear of the car to get at the 6x9s. |

I agree with everything you just posted, except the part where you don't replace the rear speakers. Yes, they're a pain, but totally worth it. The sound enhancement by replacing them is definitely noticeable, and worth it!

There's a bigger selection of 6.5 speakers versus 6.75, and the scosche adapters allow you to use either. If you don't mind cutting into your factory wiring you can save yourself the $130 and not get the FARK. There's pin out diagrams on here that show all the wires you need.

I am currently upgrading mine as well, let us know what route you take, my budget is the same. But I am adding a sub for a tad bit of bass. I think I can get a set of free air 15's in there

Despite the fact that you initially announced upgrading your car stereo, a few clarifications are needed based on your information. Usually, the front center dashboard that holds your tweeter will have a small 3.5” or 4” speaker placed in it, but this may vary from one car to another. When you are planning to replace all the interior speakers, our recommendation is to buy good brand ones like JBL, Focal, or Alpine, which have been famous due to their production of durable and high sound quality speakers that can indeed offer impressive clarity and depth. As for the door speakers, you'll need one 6.75" midrange driver and one tweeter of one-inch diameter, which ensures good mid-bass response and high-frequency response. For the back side, you should only aim at getting a nice group of about 6x9 pairs which can handle bass as well as it will make the sound deep. With respect to your amp replacement issue, getting a compact, non-wasteful amplifier similar to Rockford Fosgate, JL Audio, or Kenwood is probably a good idea. Some of these brands have small, efficient class-D amplifiers that are capable of still providing the customer's audio system with high power and great sound quality even when they are placed in a small room. Be sure to check out the space around your stock amp in order to know whether the new one fits or not, also consider installing a potentially higher-powered amp that can power your new speakers without distortion.
