you can do an alt relocation. carbd LT1s are mean and fun. you dont have to run the opti, you can convert to a traditional dizzy setup. the water pump will have to stay or you can run an electric one. the water pumps on LT1s are a lil different, seeing as how the LT1 is reverse flow cooled. check out www.lt1engine.com and see some of their swaps and tech tips as well as the alternator relocation how-to to see some different setups.
