Diablo III - May 15th! Who's playing?

I'm still in Act 1 hell and undergeared so progress is slow. I'm bulding up my armor pieces slowly.

I hit 60, and had some purchased AH gear. I'm a DH, and got Dex/MF/All Resist gear...

Unlike my previous stuff, most of this stuff I got didn't have sockets, as it was lower cost gear from the AH.

I ended up with no Vitality, really. Ended up gemming for vitality just to get it to 250ish (about 10k hp). That lost me about 60 dex points, and I'm not sure the increase in HP will be worth it.

Eventually, I want my gear to have Dex/Vit/MF & All Resist built in, with other bonus stuff if possible.

At least I have my All resist up to something like 140-190 depending on the element. I haven't played long enough to see how much of a difference that is making against elite mobs like mortars or whatever...hoping it cuts back on the damage I take.

No, but the check point is so close that it's still worth it. I averaged 5500 gold per minute even with 4-5 no cellar streaks.

There's also a great way to farm jars in the Royal Crypts of Act I as a Wizard. They have an AOE ice ability that damages everything around them continually, breaking the jars they run by. With a 20+ gold/health pick up range, you can just keep the AOE skill rolling and run around breaking the jars. At peak efficiency, it can net 800k per hour. My wife averaged 350k per hour last night with only 145% gold find. She's up to 188% this morning and trying to make her run faster.

I did that same run with my Witch Doctor but my skills aren't as efficient as hers to break the jars. I have to stop and cast fire bomb with flash fire a few times to make all the jars break. The cellar was more efficient for me since I can kill the mini boss in there very quickly with zombie bears.

ugh. 7 times reloading the ancient waterway. 7 ties I get a unique betrayer with mortar waller, mortar jailer, or fast mortar electrified...

i made 37 last night, got some new items.. should i keep leveling up my blacksmith or just invest in storage space? i have a friend who plays a Wizard and DH, so i hand off items to her.. my storage mainly consists of jewels, crafting items, and some weapons/armor

Blacksmith is near useless, jewelcrafting is not necessary until you get to 60 and you're trying to make gems higher than the max tier that drop. I'd use your gold for gear until you hit max level and start inferno, and even then only start leveling your jewel crafting once you find a really good piece to put a high tier gem in it.

First thing I did was max out my storage space. I've spent money raising all my crafting to level 7 (no tomes of secrecy yet)...but I really wasn't spending money at all on my character.

That's why my first character (L45 Barb) is way undergeared. I used the money I got raising my DH to 60 for AH items and also maxxing my crafting as much as I could.

It is nice to round up my gems to the highest level, and I'll be going through 4 more characters getting to 60...so I'll have tons of gems from low to high. Anything gem-wise just adds to my total gem collection.

Anyone notice that they are getting lag spikes? It never happened before, and i have a top of the line alienware computer so no worries on specs, but randomly starting 2 days ago i started getting huge lag spikes where if i run into any monsters or use any spells, the screen pretty much switches to slow motion as if its like 1 frame per second

Anyone else getting this at all?

I get lag sometimes, but I think it is because I'm running it on a few year old MacBook pro and it gets hot. It seems like a bunch of monsters just land on me and I die before I get a chance to fight them sometimes.

I'm getting lag also. I thought it was my mouse and keyboard dying, but the mouse still does it after changing the batteries. I'll be doing more testing tonight, but it started sunday night when I got back from my trip.

Yep...found that All Resist makes a difference. I'm at about 50-60 damage reduction for all of them, and it looks like it will be helpful in Inferno.

As far as lag, I don't get it for the most part. Every once in a while (maybe 1-2 times an hour), I will get a lag spike, and the screen might reset back a second.

I am stuck at diablo nm at the moment. A friend and I tried killing him 3 times last night but he's a DH and I'm a witch doctor and my demon summons just don't last long enough for a tank as he teleports around. Any suggestions? We get through the part where he does his shadow or whatever and he turns into the zombies. Any suggestions on witch doctor skills to help with this? I'm level 49 doing 2200 dmg with soul harvest and 15k life. Only 700 mana... Ugh.

If diablo gets me with those spikes and grabs me up I'm pretty much dead unless I run quick and heal before he shoots out fire.
