Harness bar and tank plate install
I finally got my harness bar painted IOM and installed and now I am having a set of tank plates made to install also. This will make it a lot easier to connect my 5 point harness up. A friend of mine took his original tank plates out and I am using them as a temp plate to have a set made. The steel company here will have them done in about 3 weeks. Busy during the holidays I guess. I can wait 3 weeks. These tank plates weigh 8 pounds each. Very heavy. I am having my set made out of 10mm thick steel which is just a little thinner than the 3/16 inch steel the original tank plates are made from. I like these tank plates because they have a tab that connects to the seat belt mount hole for better stability and strength. No more sliding in the seat while tracking! I will post pictures of the tank plates once I get them.
