need header bolt advice!!

I recently got 2” tsp headers but i need new header bolts.. Im not quite sure what ones to go with? i need some advice please

Stock...

I like having an arp stud on the head to have the header and gasket hang/have support while putting In the other bolts, then switch it out.

my 5.3 had so many broken bolts i went with arp's they were kind of pricey

Just in case you run into a problem, it’s best to buy a new set of oem bolts and gaskets from the local Chevy dealership. If you don’t end up needing them, you can return them for a refund. Just better to have them on hand, instead of waiting on parts in a jam.

Anyone know tthe size i need for arp header bolts? or the kooks bolts with lockers?

I use ARP header bolts and they fit great. Part number 134-1202. $30 is pretty affordable especially for ARP equipment. I got them from Summit. I think the studs are quite a bit more expensive.

I do the same thing except I cut the head off of a few stock header bolts then cut a straight line across the top with a tiny cutoff wheel so I can use a flat head screwdriver to extract them. Makes installing headers and gaskets a piece of cake especially by yourself.
