Exclamation JPSS Front Sway Bar & Stock FE3 Endlinks

Unfortunately, Pete doesn't seem to be around to assist with this question, but I'm hoping others may be able to help.

I purchased JPSS Black Magic sway bars from Pete a few years back. The rear bar came with new rear lower control arms and end links. However, the front bar still uses the OEM FE3 end links. My car also sits on Pedders Xa coilovers, which I believe have a 10mm mounting hole. I'm getting a quick ping/rattle when going over bumps. To me, it seems like the culprit is the 10mm end link in the 12mm hole in the front sway bar. Thoughts?

I have a pair of ZL1 end links in my garage. Do you think they will be the fix along with drilling the 10mm hole into a 12mm hole?

Your coil over is probably already a 12mm hole just swap them out it’s a pretty easy job, I have a set of DSE end links and they came with a spacer to take up the 2mm

Yeah, check the hole size first. When I had my Pedders years ago I think the shop had to drill out the bar holes as they were 10mm for the stock links. I had 12mm zl1 links.I don’t know what Pete did as to the size on his new bars. And could be the coilovers are a 12mm hole and the link is loose there?

I have found that a lot of sway bar kits/end links/coilovers/etc all have slightly different hole sizes. I have been OCD about front bump clunks from this slop, so I end up making really tiny steel bushings every time

Yea, I’ll get them swapped out this weekend.

I had the Xa coilovers years before I put the sway bars on without any noises so the connection there seems to be find—whether it’s 10mm/10mm or 12mm/12mm.

From what I know, the holes in the front sway bar are 12mm and the bottom of the end link is 10mm.

I think I’ll just have to drill out a bigger hole for the new ZL1 links.

That sounds like a plan. I’ll have to do that as well to make sure I eliminate the noises.
