So I am a bit confused but where exactly is the variable valve timing solenoid on a 2010 camaro LLT? And are there mare than one? I see I can buy it for my car however can’t find in my Haynes manual. Is it the same as the camshaft actuator? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Theres a combination of parts for the system to work but the actuator/phaser is on the gear end of the camshaft.

I’m a fan of VVT, it really broadens the power band for street/strip cam setups, thought it may not work for monster lift race cams. This link has a decent description of the parts https://www.onallcylinders.com/2017/...-an-ls-engine/

There are 4 total . Each cam has one and they are inserted in the front of the engine .

The L99 has one cam.

This engine has 4 cams .

the solenoids and actuators are different components. the solenoids are external, the actuators internal. there are 2 intake solenoids and 2 exhaust solenoids, one of each for each bank. there are 4 cam actuators, one for each cam.
