I'm torn between going a full all out skinny or running a 17x7 front Bogart rr10 and putting a 255/55/17 pirelli scorpion tire on there and daily drive my bogarts. Will it be safe to run down the strip with a combo of 17x7 and 17x10 rear with a m&h 325/45/17

I wouldn't daily drive the Bogarts they are so soft a bump in the road will slowly warp them. From talking to Richard Bogart they only have the race wheels that clear the brembos. I was told the RR10s will not work on the streets to well. Unless they just made a new street/race wheel thats a little stronger.

I would not daily-drive Bogarts unless they specifically build them for street driving. The issue is well know about these wheels splitting with prolonged street driving.

Unfortunately, yes, that is the same conclusion that I came to also after doing some research. Street driving on the "regular" Bogart race wheels is a bad idea. They're too soft and are easily damaged. However, I believe that Rich can and will make a custom set for you with thicker barrels that is more suitable for street driving. Of course....that's for an extra fee. Jamie (Supercharged SS) just sold a set of them not to long ago!!!

A guy in Houston has my old wheels and will be street driving. The reg Bogarts it's prob not a good idea but I left mine on, before they were made with the thicker outer ring,as was fine. All depends on your roads. No pot holes I would do it. But keep in mind they get bent in shipping.

So I just picked up a set of dark star fronts from a forum member. Do they need some kind of special lug's or something? I thought I remember reading that.

Yeah, I believe they run a "shank-style" lug. Race Star Industries sells them in our size. Or, contact forum member "beefcake", he can hook you up!!!

Racestar part number 601-1428-10 for 10 lugs. List is about $45. I just ordered mine from Derek Hopwood at 1320wheels.com. If you call him, tell him Joey sent ya.
