I've been stopped a total of 7 times since I got my Camaro 6/2009. I had enough of it when I was stopped 4 times within one month this year. I am very grateful that I never got a ticket, all warnings. I have my concealed carry license and it's always a hassle when I get pulled over. I finally had enough of it so I put on my front plate using wire ties and I haven't been pulled over since. I hate the way it looks but Ohio may be getting rid of the required front plate, I won't be able to get rid of it fast enough.

When my salesman told me that my car came in, I told him that if he installs front plates on it, I'm not buying it. He got the message loud and clear.

Being in IL, its required.. but i never ran it for a solid 8 months. the last 3 of which it was in my front window laying on the dash. Finally a state trooper flagged me down at a stop sign and told me to add it to the bumper... then stated that he wish he had enough money for a Camaro.. He was stuck with a mini-van. Poor Po Po

Yes, dealer drilled holes in the bumper already before I bought it. Didn't think to look. Live and learn.

Yes, been pulled before in another vehicle and also got illegal tint at that time. I put it on now. One less reason to pull me. Non destructive of course.....

Lucky, I've been pulled over twice. Warned the first time and ticketed the second. So know I have a retractable license plate.

Required here..

..and, it's on there; no holes, 3M tape & zip ties. I refuse to get spooled up about it and no point in getting pulled over for not having one.

Being a LEO I'll say it's all about attitude. I've written a couple tickets for no front plate, even when it was improperly displayed in the Front Windshield. It's usually written along with two other violations for a total of 3 (only because we still hand write them and only 3 can go on a single ticket). However a little respect can go along way. Tell the truth, you drive a nice car and don't want to drill holes in it, most LEOs understand that and as long as everything else is in line you get a warning. Texas State Troopers count a warning as a contact just the same as a ticket, you just don't have to pay the fine. I stopped a White SS a while back, paced him at 95 and he was pulling away from me. Pulled him over, he was very polite, no front plate and had had it less than a month. Being a Camaro Owner myself I know that even with the Heads up Display speed can creep up. I told him to slow down, watch out for the Troopers and have a nice day. AND I DO NOT HAVE A FRONT PLATE EITHER. That being said, if you live in a small town all bets are off. Small town police can be azz holes.

Illinois, front plate state. Dont have them yet but the bracket was mounted already so I will run it. I wish I would have known that it couldnt be easily removed without leaving holes. Also dont need another reason to be pulled over.

Illinois here also, bought it in Indiana so it has no holes. It will never be on the front of my car.

Putting it on your windshield actually attracts more attention to it. Either put it on the bumper or don't.

I'm in Texas and I refuse to put my front ones on (even though my personalized plates are super cute and hot pink ). I had my undergrad mascot as a front plate on my last car, for SEVEN years, and never got a ticket for it.

no front plate here and haven't been pulled over yet but know that the day will come when I will. Not worried about it I keep my front plate in between the passenger seat and center console. Don't want it in the front windshield because its to easy to go flying if you hit something or for those "spirited" driving moments

i've found that if you live in a big city, cops generally give you a pass on it. there are a lot more serious crimes out there that cops want to put their effort into. however, when i've lived in small towns, i've always gotten pulled over for no license plate.
