Hello, I'm Mindz's Wife. Disneyland, Anyone?
Hi everyone! Mini introduction: I'm Mindz's wife and while I'm relatively active at Camaro5 events, I'm brand new to the boards.
I've been pestering J to post a thread about an event idea but he strongly encouraged - a.k.a., made me - sign up and do it myself, since this is my "brainchild." Any other Disneyland fans out there? I think it would be fun to have a NorCal crew drive down and meet the SoCal crew for a 2 or 3 days at the parks. If we get a big enough group together, I can work on getting us group discount pricing, a room block and a Downtown Disney dinner location. J is pushing for special parking but I think that's a long shot... Thinking late September so: a) most kids are back in school (though kids are totally wlecome!) b) everyone has time to recuperate after C5Fest. Anyone interested? Edit: Mark your calendars people - and put in your PTO requests! We've pushed this to a Sunday/Monday since there's a concern that DL will be uber crowded on Friday/Saturday. The official plan is: -- Nor Cal caravan to Anaheim: Saturday, Sept. 24 -- Camaro 5 Dinner: Saturday night, exact location and time TBD -- Full DL Days: Sunday, Sept. 25 and Monday, Sept. 26 -- Nor Cal caravan home: Tuesday, Sept. 27 I hope all of you can still make it now that it's partly during the work week. If you can only come to the dinner or to the park on Sunday, no worries - join when you can. The more the merrier! Once we have a better head count, we'll work on a dinner venue. Working on the room block next week. Park ticket prices and more details to come! Can't wait! |

This sounds like a good idea! I cannot commit just yet, but we'll see as time goes on.
