BWS,
you will need the bushings for the rear cradle and rear diff at a minimum to get rid of wheel hop... you could get by without the rest for the time being. Personally, the biggest change I made to my car (and I'm sure MWS444 and speed74ss will agree as well) has been to fully pedderize the suspension with a full track kit. You won't believe how the car changes after installing the complete kit. Less body roll (almost non-existent), no nose diving when hitting the brakes, suspension is adjustable, handling is improved greatly and almost so sacrifice in ride quality. Personally, I think after I pedderized my car, that's how it should have come from the factory. The rear gears are a little noisier as everything is tightened up, but I can live with that as a trade off. The car handles better than I expected to. I am still having a great time driving this car and it's mostly due to the suspension. I guess I am spoiled with the extra power as I never drove my Camaro stock - it was modded at LPE before i ever saw it. |

Thanks 570!
Im going to really dig into this and research my suspension options when it comes to the bushings. Thanks again for the advise, because i can use all i can get as i've never built a car like this before. BTW: i've tracked your build since the day you started this and i think you've done an outstanding job!! I hope once the biggest part of the storm calms down on my build, that i can kick back and enjoy it for quite some time. Much Appreciated! |

Well - I had the new rotors and pads put on the car today and had everything checked underneath. All suspension parts were tight and nothing bent or twisted with the suspension, front or rear. The only bad thing was that the right half shaft looked like it spit grease all over and there are a few popping noises coming from the rear. There seemed to be a lot of play in the axles left to right but maybe that is normal. I have the 1000hp half shafts. My differential was also leaking a little fluid. I am going to take it in to the shop in the morning and see what's going on under there. Hopefully I can get it fixed up before I go back to the track on the 11th

speed -- looks like you probably have a small tear in one of the CV boots somewhere.
the axles do move side to side - that is normal. I had a rip in one of the CV boots from doing suspension work. If your's is the same issue, Call the driveshaft shop and get an RMA #. they fixed it and didn't even charge me.. I only had to pay to ship the axle to them. |

I installed the stock axle while the HP one was getting fixed. Still have the stock ones?

Yep - it sounds like your choices are limited...... NOT!! But it would suck to have those cars in the stable and not have one of them to drive
