what do I do with these two sensors, I saw your picture and relocated the black one to snout. do I need to run any extra wiring?
And, the gold one, is that one left blank too?




I've seen many people cancel this one that's connected to the actuator, if cancelled do I just plug both holes or do I route differently?


finally, I think we leave this hole blank?

Cap the line in the last pic.

You can remove the switch off the boost valve.

You can leave the white labeled switch un plugged.

Correct.

You can use the IAT2 sensor later if you choose ( like I did)...

Well, the car has been doing fantastic but, I had this persistent squeaking noise travelling up the steering wheel at slow speed (below 10 mph). It was loud for sure.

So, this is what I did:

1) Verify PS fluid was bled and topped off (I have a new TurnOne PS Pump so, verified it was good)
2) Verify the noise happened with the car running or not (it was in both accounts)
3) Raise the car and see if it still happens (almost gone when no load!)
4) Lubed the bump steer kit (still persisted after that)
5) Verified the Rack and Pinion Bushing I installed was still good and lubed (it was)
6) I have aftermarket sway bars in the front that have not been lubed in a while so I lubed them while the load was off the suspension -- that fixed it.

Last would have been checking the Rack and Pinion but fortunately, the lubing of the BMR sway bars fixed it.

Just wanted to give folks a heads up if they notice that and have aftermarket sway bars and lube fittings...

Just a quick update:

Car has been running great, but I noticed a very small amount of oil where the MM oil cap breather is. Redid the rubber gaskets and it still continued. Looks like MM is not selling these anymore so no replacement parts.

So ordered the Metco from Phasetek. No more oil anywhere. Hated to change but, I didn't want any oil anywhere...

Here is the metco installed:



Dry as a bone after 6 drive cycles.

Here is the MM breather. Oil was seeping from the relief holes and where the breather went into the oil fill -- I did replace the rubber around the base of the breather, but it still leaked from the relief holes:

OK, Hit a milestone today:

10,000 miles since I did the LSA Conversion! The conversion has just been fantastic, love the stock look and feel, and the performance has been exactly what I hope it would be.

With the GPI VVT SS1 and ported heads, I've been beyond pleased with the way the she performs. With all the suspension upgrades, this has been the ultimate car I always hoped to have (Mostly GM factory/performance upgrades). I'm so lucky to have been able to do the upgrades when the market was still hot for the 5th Gen. Looking back, I'm glad I didn't wait -- have enjoyed the heck out of all the updates...

Anyway, 10,000 miles with all the engine upgrades, hard to complain with price/performance for the $$$...

Now, oil and transmission change this weekend!

Well, this sucks -- took the car out tonight -- normally not this early (8:30 pm). On the way back home, someone decided to 'hit' the heaps of semi retread laying in the road -- I was lucky to avoid most of it, but one huge piece hit the splitter -- fortunately, I have an extension on it and it took the force, but popped off the passenger DRL -- the bulb came out and burned a hole in the splash shield and lower air deflector -- not an overly expensive repair (no paint damage that I could see) -- burnt the hell out of my finger though (had to try and get under the front bumper in the dark). So, looks like I'll be ordering new parts on Monday -- could have been much worse, I was far enough back that I could see that crap coming at me -- ugh, and I just did a full waterless wash too ;o)...

I'll take pics of it when I do the repair but, it really sucks the bulb popped out and did that -- will be looking @ it closely when I get the splash shield out to put it all back together...

Following up on last nights retread incident, you can see that the splitter took most of the hit (I swerved left to avoid the 3 ft section as much as I could):



That popped out the DRL and the bulb too!:

So unbolted the front of the splash shield, verified the DRL was ok and installed new H11's on both sides.

I filled the burn hole with clear silicone until the new parts arrive...

Lucky it was the only damage and would have been zero if the bulb didn't fall out -- put some auto body tape on the DRL connector just to hold it in place next time...

Just goes to show no matter how careful you are and take care of things, life will give you a reality check and let you know -- you ain't 'sh**' ;o)

Well, splash shield and deflectors were in stock (because I bought so many I was told ;o) that I was able to get the new items installed in under an hour -- now its all back in shape. Just have to 'clean' the area where the tread hit on the splitter...

Work on this car never seems to end ;o) -- next I'll do the oil changes...

Well, after fixing the road kill damage and installing a new alternator for my son's Santa Fe, took my car out to make sure no issues.

Did great -- I did put in 'brighter' DRL bulbs and boy I can tell the difference! At night it lights up the area much better -- may do the same for the fog lights!

Anyway, DRL stayed in place, no issues -- now, will clean up the tread marks and change the oil -- now that I'm just over 50K miles -- just rolled over tonight!...

Love driving this thing...
