Z/28 stock exhaust for sale.

I am looking to upgrade my exhaust. I've been asked by someone I know if I would sale my stock exhaust to them. I am more then willing to sale him the exhaust, but do not know what a fair price would be. Has anyone one sold their stock exhaust and for how much?

Thanks for the help.

Hi,

I would not sell your stock exhaust, even if you plan to upgrade. Later in your car's life, if in a collectible condition the stock exhaust will be a key feature to the future value and you will have little to no chance to find one at that point, with so few made to begin with.

So for the few $ you get now, it won't be worth it later. also when you go to sell the car, the next owner may prefer the stock exhaust.

Either way good luck with your upgrades!

I could not agree more. I can still hear the sound of my original 186 heads from my 69 Z/28 hitting the metal garbage can when I"upgraded" to 292 heads. 37 years later I am still hunting for a set of mid April dated heads! If you do take it off, save it!
