Need Help picking , BF/Nitto or Firestone Thanks

Hi, on my 2SS I run ZL1 rims 285/35R20 front and 305/35R20 Rear

I currently have Good Year Supercar F1 G2, I am looking at the following three,

Firehawk Indy 500
BF Goodrich Comp
Nitto NT 555G2

I am looking for a good all around tire, I live in the country so we have a lot of nice driving roads, I also do go to the track from time to time but for fun, If I get back into the track days I'll get a set of dedicated wheels. So I am looking more of a Hi Performance street tire at this time.

Agree on the Nitto's. Avoid them at all costs. The BFG`s are damn good and have a 400 treadwear rating. They do really good in the rain and actually a decent autocross tire too.

I just bought these from LMP they're nice looking tires and grip pretty good. The didn't charge me sales tax so that saved me $35 also.

The Mickey Thompson's look nice, I just always associated them with Truck tires and Drag set ups.

I also need to think about the best size to go with 35 series or 285/30/20 and 305/30/20, Not 100 sure the what the differences would be.

I just went with continental extreme contact sports in that set up, but not on the car yet so can't give you any first hand experience.

I like the 35s the 30s don't have enough sidewall for me.

I haven't mounted the ZL1 Rims on the car yet but I will this week, the tires on the rims are fairly new, But I don't believe they are going to last that long. Is the 35 series more popular on the 5th Gen and the 30 Series on the 6th Gen?

The 35 series that I have here don't appear to have very big sidewalls.

Does anyone know of a list that shows the different factory sizes between year and models?

^^^^ This for sure. I have a buddy with a ZL1 and the guy he bought it from had 30 series tires on it and the sidewall is just way too short for the car and rides like a tank he said, and handles like crap. The 35 series is what you need to run because it gives you more "cushion" between the wheel and the road, plus it takes up more of the gap in the fenderwell and looks better, plus it will handle better.

The 35's are about a half inch different in height than the 30's..Last time I looked.

This Forum needs a like button, But yes I think i'll stick with the 35, I may try the Conti's They are a plain looking tire but performance is more important then looks.

Another vote for Continental ExtremeContact here, but if I had to choose among the options you provided, I would have to opt for the BF Goodrich tires. The G-Force COMP-2 A/S Plus is one of the best ultra-high performance all-season tires. Many people are impressed with the fantastic grip it delivers over the summer. On the other hand, I don't have any previous experience with the Indy 500, but it surely has a lot of great online reviews.
