opinion from those not liking the 2016 nose

Planning on updating my 2010 Camaro nose conversion vehicle to more of a 2016 look. BUT not quite.

I like a certain amount of the 2016 look, but the top grille looks to squinty & the lower grille to fishmouth large. Like the headlight look with the drl strips& pretty much like the side vent look.

So I figure my version will be something between the 15 & 16 year models, with a taller top grille & shorter lower grille than the new model. Have a 2015zl1 lower grille which I may modify for use with its wrap around lower edge. Also have black stainless mesh grille material.

Mine may have a little more of the appearance of this distorted image from Leno's show.

Any helpful opinions on my line of thought?

How are you going to do the DRL strips and what about the side marker lights would look cool if you could mimic them...

I don't know why the '16 gets hate because I love the look of the '16.

Yeah my thoughts exactly, I have serious issues with the lower grill looking like a big catfish, maybe just needs more fascia down there and less grill or maybe its just the material they used to fill the grill in with that disagrees with me.I think if that area funneled inwards from the sides and the bottom to create a tunnel ram effect towards the radiator might look ok.

Experimenting with how to make a drl strip in the headlight to resemble the stock one. Making the headlight housing from abs plastic, looking at how to replicate the gear look around the projector also. Probably will get morimoto hid's. Will likely buy aftermarket lower running lights for side grilles. May just buy factory side grilles. Not sure about sidemarkers.

Existing modified 2010 nose conversion.

Photoshop concept pic of factory version.

Funny how the '16 Camaro now looks like a Scion.
