Hey, i just bought a 2011 RS with the boston acoustics stereo and i had an amp and sub installed in trunk, and my zune mp3 player (old i know), cd, fm, xm, sound great plenty of bass. My problem is when i connect my smartphone to it by bluetooth or 3.5 cable, it just doesn't sound too good, almost no bass, i have an htc one (android), and i've also tried an iphone, same conclusion. any help, its driving me crazy?

Bluetooth sucks..use a USB instead.

tried the blue tooth but was way to washed out to make it sound good

That's weird. That's all I ever do. I have phone connected through Bluetooth and use Pandora app on mylink and it sounds amazing.

EQ settings change when you change inputs. Check there.

Yeah the sound quality through bluetooth isn't as good as USB or Auxiliary. Of course CD sounds the best, which is why I was bummed out when I found out they removed the CD player from the newer models.
Though, I've been using bluetooth for music with my 2014 and it seems to sound a lot better than I remember since I had my 2011. It could be because my 2014 has the BA system, but the 2011 did not.

Fly2hip 8, do you have a sub? I'd love to write off my smartphone, but dang i got like 3000 songs on there.

Car is completely stock. I don't understand how everyone is complaining about it. I love it. And I get a lot of compliments from people at work. Not one negative from anybody about the sound quality.
