It's hard to believe when you say that the car isn't loud, with what you had put in/taken out bud. But from my experience, it's hard to compare to different cars as more than likely, not every car is going to sound the same. Another thing could be the pipe size and length. Bigger pipes will be louder and having longer pipes will reduce the sound (not by a lot though, depending on the length). That's from my experience and I well could be wrong.

just in case you decide to try a 3" catback, here's a shameless plug for a Corsa Extreme that I'm selling because it's too loud:

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=452120

it's 3" all the way from your stock cats to the tips, which are 4.5"
includes 3" X pipe and 3" straight through mufflers. all 304 stainless.

I would be willing to bet that is exactly the case. I knew my Camaro was loud, but until I heard it going all out on the dyno I had no idea it was THAT loud. The Camaro does a really good job of keeping it quiet in the cabin, even with the windows down.

My car isn't loud inside the cab either, however when I hear it echo off buildings and stuff I can tell you its VERY loud. The sound deadening in these cars is pretty good. Have a someone else drive it while you stand outside and listen it might change your view.
If its still not loud enough like other have said get yourself some long tubes with either Hiflow Cats or connection tubes and I can guarantee it will be loud and if that's not enough you need hearing aids lol.

I have 3"pipes all the way from the xpipe to the front. How do I tune. Can't get rid of cats I live in California. Maybe adding a muffler? What kind of flowermasters. Can I get long lube headers and still pass among in California?

A lot of good information has already been provided and it all comes down to what you are looking for. I'll use myself for an example, when my car is backed into my garage and idling, I want to hear a deep, rumble; while out on the road I want to hear it, but still be able to listen my music at a decent level and hold a conversation. I also love my wife's rule -- if you drive it through a parking garage and it doesn't set of alarms, it's not loud enough. All combined it has to sound good -- to me.

That being said, I just recently heard a Mustang that I went by who's exhaust was much louder then mine, but it sounded like crap. Not a put down on 'Stangs, just the owner's choice (IMO) of exhaust.

Long tube headers, no cats, no resonator, no muffler

That should do the trick

Ha, I have stock NPP exhaust with a fuse pull and it sounds good. I need headers though, sounds like you need another local opinion.
