I am hoping for a base MSRP of $48,995.00 but it might be closer to $51,995.00. That is before the gas guzzler tax which might be between $1,200.00 and $2,100.00. If it is able to get past the GGT, that would be wonderful !!!

I'd guess $8k less then the CTS-V coupe.

You get the same driveline and suspension with ZR1 brakes but less interior investment....

What do they list for in the states?

Think everyone is alittle low in their estimate

I can't see the car being around 47k. If the 2ss is around 37k how can they change about 30% of the car and only raise the price 10k. Why are the SLP Camaro close to $70,000? The ZL1 has so many more components that are beefed up plus added ground effects, wheels, and updated interior. I think we will see prices closed to the middle 50's for one that is equiped similiar to the Chicago auto show. Either way I'm first on the list at my dealer and I've sold my 2010 Camaro to make room for the ZL1.

For one the Base SS is only 33 not 37. And The SLP Camaro there were like only 50 made or something. So its not going to be rare and at 47 thats 13 grand higher than the base 2SS. I think for what they have into it that could be close.

One reason that the aftermarket cars are so high is that they have to start with the full price of the car and then make their changes. When GM builds it they won't have the cost of both the stock Camaro parts and the new upgraded ones.

i was hopnig for a base price of under $50k right around $48-$49k and a loaded ZL1 for around $55-$56k since it seems there will only be 2-4 options it seems (suede trim interior, stripes, and possibly wheel finishes and possibly a moonroof.) but the only thing that worries me is now that Ford has shown some of it's hand with the 2013 GT500 and they are estimating it to be around $60k with a release only 8-10 months later than ZL1, my fear is that GM decides to raise the base to over $50k knowing it will still be a value comapired to the '13 GT500 that is right down the road. either way i'm getting one loaded minus a moonroof (if offered) but i would like to try to keep the MSRP under $57k.

...... and, GM will use the crapiest parts possible while the aftermarket mods are usually for race applications. That's why the ZL1's will get their asses kidked by 2010's with mods. Personally, if I wanted a ZL1 I'd get the SLP version.
Unfortunately, for me my 2010 is already on it's way to being a ZL1 (SLP or GM) killa'. LOL

if gm uses crappy parts than why buy a GM at all? i see you own an SS so you must have some faith in them? i wouldn't buy aftermarket b/c you lose your ass on them when you trade them in, including the SLP ZL1 or ZL575!

My 2011 1SS was $34,000 and some change(with RS Package).. I have seen some Camaro 2SS cars pushing $40,000 with some options..We can only guess what the '12 ZL1 will run, but I'm thinking close to $50,000(base MSRP) and I'm sure the price will skyrocket will the addition of Options... My guess is that it will be a $55,000 car, nicely equiped.

2011 Camaro

My 2011 White Camaro cost $30K, out the door with all costs.

They better keep the ZL1 under $50K. I do not need options just the car.

Kind of kicking myself that I bought the 2011 SS, then found out that this was comming out! It may have been covered in here before (although when searched I only found a rediculous price from canada) but what are we looking at for price?
