2015 Z/28

After impulsively purchasing a Cayman GT4, I'm now forced to sell my beloved Z/28. Bear with me because this is a relatively high mile car (17,200), but for those that stop reading (like most of you I also look for low mile cars so I know exactly what you're looking for) they will be missing out on the nicest Z/28 in the country. Yes, I just said that. Here are the details. I'm the 2nd owner. The first owner was a collector who purchased the car in Arizona and had it shipped to CA. His plan was to wrap it up in plastic as a 0 mile car and keep it as a collector item. However, it required 400 miles of driving before the emissions would report correctly so he could register the car in CA. He drove 400 miles, registered the car and put it under a cover in a climate controlled garage. I swoop in to buy the car and of course what I find is an absolutely perfect/new vehicle. I drove it from L.A. to Fresno and it's been here ever since. Break/break, just a little about me.......I'm obsessive compulsive about cars. I truly think I have a disorder. I use Chemical Guys carnuba wax/waterless wash and nothing but a micro fiber cloth has ever touched this vehicle. This car has lived in a garage it's entire life, it's never spent a night outside. It's never seen a drop of rain. This car has never seen a track. All the miles are either highway miles or spirited runs up in the mountains. The engine is PERFECT, bone stock......has never hiccuped.....an absolute beastly flawlessly running LS7. Oil changes with full synthetic oil. Mechanically this is a FLAWLESS/PERFECT vehicle, as good as any new car on the planet (for some reason the lighting makes the engine look dusty in the pics, the engine is perfect). Ashen Grey Metallic.

The only things I've added to the car are cosmetic. I put a sun visor on the rear window, which I think really completes the car and I put in Recaro seatbelt covers to protect the seats from rubbing.

The interior is PERFECT, literally zero scratches, not a stitch out of place, etc. I was the only one who ever drove the car. I think there were literally two times that a body was in the back seat.

Brand new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires with 1000 miles on them.

This does have A/C.

Attached is a VERY, VERY detailed video of the entire car, front to back, top to bottom......

My name is Ron, my # is 559-212-5618.

$42k firm.

And why would we want to by a slower car?

That 7.0 has potential. I’d love to have both.

We all have different tastes. Unless you have driven one, you wouldn't know why. The car talks to those that listen.

ZMEnow you do realize that in a straight line, the Z/28 is just a tiny tiny bit behind, like barely anything right (as in .1 second barely anything)? On the track, well, obviously has the advantage there. But all in all, pretty much even up outside of the track, just doesn't have all the amenities as the ZL1.

Street Rage; just stay under 7psi or sleeve the block and you'd be golden

I was the original owner, and can vouch for everything Ronnie has stated. It also comes with every single piece of documentation- Window sticker, build sheet, COA, etc. Good luck finding a two owner AGM in this condition with strong paper and complete owner history these days.

Yep know all the facts, also know most of the original owners and many of the second owners are averaging 740 plus at the crank. Yep on track days I give up a bit on braking, but suspension mods have made turning almost equal, and in straights all 28’s I have tracked against disappear. Nice car, but just don’t see someone giving up a Z for it. Hopefully he posted in the SS forum.

Where did you buy the belt covers? Those are a must have with these seats.

I honestly don't remember where I got those it's been so long. I just googled it and there are multiple places you can buy them.....but yes, you are correct, absolute necessity. Zero wear on the sides of my seats.

Good luck on your sale. Hate to see you leave the Z family but mans got to do what mans got to do. Very good price I might add, knowing how well you took care of your Z. Thanks for all the post and questions in the past. Who ever buys this, it’s like getting 2 for 1. Red now and grey later down the years. Cheers mate.

ZOLKOCARBON (23350) on ebay. I have exact ones. Paid $9.59 for 2
Good luck with your sale partner . The GT-4 I'm sure will help you get over the slump.
