Question About Camaro
1st Post.
Ok, currently i have a 2009 Dodge Charger SE, and am waiting and waiting to upgrade to a Camaro 2LT. I read posts about people complaining, about handling. My question is does the charger handle same as the camaro? Charger: 3727 lbs. Camaro 2LT: 3728 lbs. Now my charger does what someone posted, in a thread before where it makes a yawning noise when doing u-turns ect. So if handling is the Same i will most DEF get a camaro. Another question, My SE is not enough. It is a 2.7L V6 w/ 190HP... Would a V6 Camaro w/ 300HP Feed my hunger for power? Last question: A girl at my school has a 2SS Yellow camaro/Black Racing Stripes. She says it is kind of hard to see out of, but it is easy to get used to and find ways around it. Shes proably 5'5. IM 6'4 would i be able to see out of the camaro. I have sat in one but didnt drive it so couldnt tell. |

first off welcome!
about your handling question (people are gonna shoot me for talking about it) reading another guy's post in the handling thread he had a charger and he says the handling on the camaro is world's apart and much better i personally think going from 190 to 304HP will feed your hunger, but if you test drive a 2SS you might not wanna go LT/LS i found it alittle annoying seeing out of when i originally sat in (5'11) but used the seat adjustor and found it just ok... it was fine for me from then...

I wouldn't worry about the handling, unless you plan on taking the car to a race track...
My SS is very comfy and handles great i think. It turns well and all...if thats what you want to hear for handling. Like i said in another post "I don't plan on drifting through light because it turned yellow". |

Might want to sit in the drivers seat of one before you buy. I am 6'2" and don't have a problem, but I have heard some taller people complian. The mechanic that change oil in my car got out and said he had to pour himself into drivers seat. He was about 6'4". Do not get the sun roof because it takes away an inch or two of haedroom. Can see out of mine fine. Hope this helps.

First off, the Camaro is heavier than that. Its about 3860 lbs. Secondly, yes, its very similar to driving the Charger/Challenger/300...they all feel the same to me. Only slight difference is the Camaro feels a bit more compact and even the V6 has some get up and go. You will want to drive it before buying it. |

I think the heaviest V6 tops out at less than 3800. Unless you're running the track, don't base a buying decision on +/- 100lbs. Why don't you get with the girl who has the yellow 2SS (sounds like she's spoiled anyway) and that way you'll know how it handles.... The car I mean

Welcome! I would suggest going for the SS unless it isn't in your budget. I've noticed some people on this forum that have buyers remorse after buying the V-6 and wishing they went with the V-8. I haven't had any issues with handling and I like to push my car through corners to see how it does. The visibility issue took me all of 5 minutes to get used to (I'm 6'2). It took me a bit to feel comfortable backing but that's good now too.
