It is hard to tell by the pictures, The Russells lines and the Earls lines I ran on my 3rd Gen Camaros did not have the coating.

RS/SS you may have the Goodrich Phantom version, They look nice but they are $100 more. Goodrich is already one of th emore expensive options.

Is there any down side to installing the ZL1 lines? How much longer are they?
I am not sure if I will ever do a ZL1/ZO6 brake upgrade or not ( I have not ruled it completely out ).

Going to be installing the lines probably in the next week or so, Should I do one wheel at a time and bleed it, If I do all 4 at once am I more likely to get air in the system? In the past I have always done all 4 then bled but Figured i would see what you guys think.

I don't like having all the lines open at the same time. Plus, if air gets back to the ABS unit, you have jump through hoops to guarantee there is no air in the ABS or pay a shop with a scanner to bleed it so they can cycle the ABS during the bleed.

I Installed mine one at a time, until all 4 for were installed and then bled them all. I think brake line fluid stoppers are also a big help so you get less air in the system.

I’d suggest anyone doing brakes themselves also get an ABS brake bleeder. I use the FOXWELL brand, forget the exact model, but there are a few out on the market that are ~$150+. I use it for all of my cars when I bleed/flush brakes every year or 2.

One line at a time, then bleed following the factory procedure/order - don’t forget you have two bleeders per caliper. I’d also highly suggest having a shop do your bleeding if you’re switching to track fluid so that the ABS can be fully exchanged.

So you guys suggest doing one line at a time, (let caliper gravity bleed a little) then follow Factory bleed on all 4? I was thinking change line bleed and do that for each caliper then do a final bleed when done. I was worried if I do all 4 lines at once then proceed to bleed I may have a little air in the calipers when I start pumping. I have A few different type of bleeding kits but I think I am going to do it the old fashion 2 person way.




I have access to the most up to date Snap on Scanners to bleed ABS if needed, I do have a Innova scan tool that bleeds some ABS systems, just not sure if it does the Camaro.


I do want to flush the system while I am at it, If I don't get to ABS this time I will do it next time. I am switching to ATE 200 DOT 4 Fluid at the moment.


SIM do you mind getting me the Model of the Foxwell, I know when I was looking they will do some ABS but not others.


Anyone have a good Bleeding guide they like to use, which caliper to do first and what bleeders to do first?


I am away on vacation at the moment, So I can't check but do I need to remove the Wheel liner in the front to do the lines? If I do I will hold off on doing install until I get my Air scoop so I can just remove it once.

I like using a pressure bleeder since it allows for one person bleeding.

I have these and others types, I honestly never used the motive one, I am not even sure exactly how it works, I guess I can watch a video and learn. Is the Motive one you are referring to as a pressure bleeder? With this style I don't need to pump the brakes at all?
