Worth renting a garage for a Camaro?

So I currently rent a car port that's just outside my apartment. Really all it does it keep your car out of the rain and hail and guarantee you a parking spot close to your apartment. I sent an email to the front office today asking how much they wanted for a garage and they came back with $75 a month.

To break it down heres how i see it:

Positives:
Protects camaro from the weather
Protects my car from theft
Protects the wheels (currently just stock) from being stolen
Protects my car from being vandalized

Cons:
$75 a month
200-300 feet from my apartment as opposed to 20.

Would I be better off keeping the car port and dropping 1000 on lojack, wheel locks and keeping my car where it is?

Garage is worth it if you arent going to be hurting for the $75! Who cares how far it is from the front door. You get to sleep easy about your car being safe!

$75.00 is a bargain for a garage. Here in Calif. if you want to store your car, its runs way over $200. a month. That a good investment for your Camaro.

My guess is you can find a storage place for cheaper than that. Did you check your local Craig's List? If not, put an ad on Craig's List that you are looking for storage. That's what I did and I found a building within 5 miles of my house, heated so it won't go below 32 degrees, all for $40/month.

I would have never found it if I wouldn't have put an ad on Craig's List. The bonus to the storage is it's close to my house and I can access my car anytime I want.

Not an option for me since the Camaro is my full time ride . But I think sleeping well is probably worth 75 a month

Get the garage - so many things that can happen to a car outside, it is hardly worth thinking about the $75 a month. I spend over $500 a month to park, and as I walk down my street watching nicer cars than mine get scraped, bumped and broken in to, the money feels well spent.

Another vote for the garage here. I guess I'm saying one thing by telling to get the garage but my car stays outside all the time. I'm a damn hypocrite

I'm assuming the carport is free. Only you know if your car might be damaged in your area. Out of the weather is nice, but since it's a daily driver only so much. If your worried about it at night, than it's worth $75 for sure.

The car port is 30 a month, bought it last month in anticipation while waiting for my Camaro. I worry about it for a few reasons. My apartment is right at the entrance of the complex, so hundreds of people are going to see it sitting out there every day. It only takes one scum bag to think he can make some money off jacking the rims or breaking in. Even though the apartment complex is nice and gated, it does have its fair share of degenerates.

So the garage is $75 more than the carport or only $45 more? If it's only $45 more without a doubt get the garage.
