Hey, I answered your earlier question, I believe I have the same tire size as a 1LE but with Michelin PSS not the Goodyears. I "believe" the PSS is superior to the run-flat Goodyears but could be wrong. Anyway, even if they are superior they still are street tires not racing slicks or R-compounds so your point is well taken.
Sorry, I saw your earlier response but overlooked the tire sizes. You're right that you have the same tire sizes as the 1LE, I missed that. I'm not sure which would be better or worse between the PSS and the run-flat GYs, but the 1LE comes with a better compound than the SS. The 1LE runs the GY Eagle F1 Supercar 3 which is a non-runflat 220 tread-wear tire and is grippier than the 300 tread-wear PSS. The factory 1LE pads should still feel a little more capable on your car vs. the 1LE since the PSS will lock up a little easier than a SC3, but not as dramatic of a difference as you'd get if you put the 1LE brakes on a base SS.

You know, it can't hurt to try the stock pads...I am gonna look to see if I still have my stock rears then that makes the experiment even cheaper.

Thanks for the advice. I think I still have the OEM pads. I kinda like changing disk brakes.

It sure beats trying to get rear drums off with the rust ring around the edge. All three of our vehicles now have 4 wheel disc.

Does anyone know if I can use my Phastek braided steel lines or do I need to use the ones that are coming with the 6-piston brake kit?

This was a question asked a year or so ago. I believe the answer was "no". A couple of forum members were going to trial them and I don't think they were able to get them to work. Phastek can probably now answer officially based on the trials.

I used to think those had a lot of dust....

but then I went to hawk street/race

its like 2-4 times the amount. some in the cosmetic forum would immediately go buy a prius.
