Stay away from Nitto, Toyo, Mickey Thompson, Generals if you want a good performance tire.
You will get what you pay for. |

I think this round will be the Michelins. Want to see how they perform compared to the continentals which I think are very good tires for our cars.

It would be nice if we could get a good looking tire that performs, The Nittos are the best looking of the bunch to me but have not tried them. I don't like the way the Contis or the Michelin's look. The Nittos remind me of the Good year Gatorbacks that I used to run on my 3rd Gen.
The Goodyear G2's were a good looking tire which is what I am still running as I got a set right before they stopped producing them. I am probably going to run the Michelins net just because of how highly rated they are and seem to be okay for track days and the street.

I totally 100% agree with you about the Mickey ET's, if your car is making any amount of horsepower Mickeys hook from the dig so much better, the Nitto is not close if you are putting down some real HP numbers.

Most guys running DRs at OSW are running Mickeys. They have a very good reputation at the track and are not cheap. If he is referring to road course tire, lots of track guys love Toyo Proxies too and those certainly aren't cheap.
