I took it off as others have said its a giant heat soak.

Next up is the faux second intake manifold cover....another heat soak.

I guess advantages are you get the coldest air with the least turbulance as it its a straight shot into the engine.

It is also a very awesome looking intake.

It does not get the air from a scoop but u have to tilt the radiator back. Massive negatives are with the radiator tilted back air come back from the hood and bows the hood at 80+ mph. Not fun.

Another negative is using a stock radiator with fill line in the middle means half the intake is only being used since the radiator suppor blocks alot of incoming air. So if u want the full advantage u have tonget a radiator with fill tube on the side. Very expensive and custom anymore.

Throw it in the garbage. Real engine looks better. Get your manifold painted and colored spark plug wires. I guess it heatsoaks engine too.

Okay, I ripped it off of the engine and put it into the trunk for safe keeping. I do not notice any change in noise from under the hood.

Your air intake will make more noise than that cover will hold in.

That cover is a beauty shield that holds in a lot of engine heat in

Why do you think it removes with no tools? because its not necessary

I notice a bar in the 5th photo side to side toward the back which I believe has something to do with torque or twist prevention? "Some cars have them and some do not. Is it a mod?

The bar that connects the 2 strut towers?? That is the strut tower brace that comes on the verts from the factory to strengthen the chassis. You can get one for the coupes and install it, and it actually does stiffen up the front. I noticed the difference right away after my install..
