Painted Tire lettering

Ordered some tire paint pens from amazon, went with red instead of the traditional white. Shines due to paint still wet. Jury is still out in the family, the test on the the underside was favourable with friends.

Car is in cold storage, with a old set of camaro winter tires and rims, the pirellis, I bring in to warm storage, I will post a pic in Late April when I switch to the summers.

Looks cool but will rub off quickly! I think it looks best when the lettering follows to curve of the tire. If you are looking for a more permanent version tirestickers.com has some awesome decals. I did paint pens first to figure out what I wanted then invested in some.

Exactly my thoughts, my tires are on their last season and am wondering if I am willing to invest up to $800 CDN for letters professionally done ( this price quote came from stealership on a 3rd party installation) on the new set of rubber. The lettering has 4 coats and seems fairly thick for endurance. It did come off with some steel wool scrubbing fairly easily on the inside, but it was not prepped well.

Is that how you get this kind of look? I have been wanting tires like this (all black with big white letters) since I got my SS but I always just assumed you could buy them from the factory like this? Is stickers the way to go?

I put the Tredwear rubber letters that glue on my tires. Cost is around $100 bucks. They lasted as long as the tires did.

Tirestickers ran me about $140 for all 4 tires, if you want them to install its and extra $120-something I think and it comes with a warranty. Worth it for stickers that last the life of the tire I think
