What do I want? Coil overs or Springs
Looking to lower my car this year.
It's a grocery getter, drive only in the summer on nice days. Take it to work on Fridays type thing. Rims and tires are out of this years budget so next is ride height. I go to the track 1 a year and other than that it's a cruiser. Springs are more budget friendly but 630 RWHP, what should I install. I want to maintain factory or better ride quality. No 1 ton stiffness. All in all, which system should I look into and what's recommended. |

Springs are going to ride worse than factory ride quality. Coilovers all the way if you have the budget

Springs are going to be a bit more firm than stock but that doesn't mean they are hard or harsh. Coil overs can be set up to ride better than stock but are considerably more.

With CoilOvers you have a lot of Adjustment - Compression, Rebound & Ride Height. It's all good if you use it.
For a Grocery getter, I don't see you getting Value out of a CoilOver |

I think for the amount of time you actually spend driving the vehicle I would suggest lowering springs. The benefits of easy installation, better handling, and lower cost sound perfect for you.

BC racing coilovers are only $1000. Nothing but great reviews on these coilovers.

For your usage I would go springs.
I went from springs to coil overs to more coil overs. If you don't track the car you wont need all the adjustment that coil overs can give you.

What's everyone recommend for springs?
Quality and comfort are more important than price. |

Just doing springs and comfort is not going to happen. They're cheap for a reason, your getting exactly what you pay for in this case. It's not going to ride as good as stock and be a little bouncy. It's just the way a stock strut and aftermarket spring is. You can get a solid set of coilovers around the 1k price point that you can adjust to your liking
