That would be pretty sweet if there was a legit contender in the Colorado area. The scenery alone is worth the 950 mile (one-way) trip

How about a road course event during festV at Motorsport Ranch?!!! It's about 60 miles out of Baytown and is just off the highway North of Angleton, TX?

However, at this point, unless the road course is at the same facility, we are less likely to consider it as part of the fest. And it would require a sponsor to take complete ownership of it, we don't have the resources to pull it off in addition to everything else we have to do.

Take another run at Vegas. But Phoenix will be good too. It will re-open they just wanted to get rid of previous track management. Both Vegas and Phoenix have a road course.

Phoenix was perfect. Drag, autoX, road course, and car show. Had everything there. I plan on diving to Houston area from Los Angeles in May. Still a long drive but I've missed the last two and that sucked.

Road America is a Nice place, plenty of hotels in Sheboygan next door as well.
New places are fun to go to, but I have to say things are easier to deal with when your familiar with your surroundings as well. Texas should be fun ! hope I can make it again next year ! |

Im happy where ever it is, couldn't make indy 2 years in a row, but will be at texas next year! I do have a suggestion though I love the phoenix idea.... LOL
Rocky Mountain Raceway - http://www.rmrracing.com/ Drag strip, autocross area (east of the oval track), vendor area (why not just set them up in the oval on the grass and leave the track/tarmac for foot traffic), and car show on the other side of the drag strip... Add in that its probably not that expensive... Not sure on hotel/accommodations though didn't look around that much.. but im sure SLC has something... Add in that its pretty "central" to the west coast!

If the event gets big enough places will want us to come. Revenue for the city and all will be a selling point. But, we have to get the attendance #s.
This is the #1 reason why college football bowls want Alabama because we as fans travel and sell the place out.

I am just glad you announced the location and time of next year's Fest at this year's event. I think you should try to do that every year. It gives us all a chance to work it into our schedules for next year. Thank you.
