Questions About 1LE Rear Diffuser Install - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I have a 2011 Camaro SS LS3 with the stock SS rear diffuser. I am wanting to buy the 1LE rear diffuser because I am getting quad tips. The part number is 22815277
My question is do I need to buy anything else for the install? Would I have to use any parts from the stock SS diffuser? Thanks.

You should buy just the diffuser. I reused my screws and clips off my old one. However I do recommend a second set of hands, it makes it much easier to install.

Where can I buy the diffuser without the screws then?

I bought mine from GM parts house, and it didn't come with screws, so I'm not sure if they come with screws. Or if someone forgot to put mine in the box.

So just to clarify, as I am buying the ZL1 Corsa cat back, on an SS car you ONLY need the diffuser (~$100)? Thats all you need to install it?

I have been looking for a cheap option to run quads without cutting mine... If this works I will order one ASAP. I remember looking at the ZL1 diffuser and you had a whole list of stuff you had to buy with it. If its only buying this, I will go pick one up today.

I just ordered mine. I don't believe you need any parts, as it is labeled replacement part.

That is correct. Here is my Corsa ZL1 exhaust with 1LE diffuser on my 2010 SS

Plus anyone who needs info on this diffuser I created a thread that has been very active with info:

Why does everyone call it the 1LE diffuser. The 1LE comes with the same two different diffusers that every other LS3 comes with. NPP or standard.

I just call it a 1LE diffuser because most people I talk to dont know a "2013 and up with NPP option diffuser" is. They do know what a 1LE looks like though.

no, not all 1LE's come with NPP. It is an option.

I have seen 2014 1Le's without quad exhaust, but I have never seen a 2013 1Le with single tips on each side. Im sure ur right, just dont know if 2013 was diff than 2014 for the 1LE package
