They have a protocol established for a reason. You follow it or work somewhere else.

This is done so really really bad people know they can get money and leave without having to blow everyone away.

If every teller was an armed officer in body armor then run after them. But when your tellers and staff a gentle ladies and gentleman they don't want that kind of action because the weak people are exactly who would get hurt.

The money can be replaced. Getting you or a coworker shot is not worth the money. This is why he got fired.

Well, I guess that's the way it goes with following protocol and banks trying to protect it's employees. The way it looks though, is that they didn't want his blood on their hands if something like that were to happen again with a sad ending. It really blows, however. He should at least be able to get a spot in the FBI so he can sharpen his skillz
