Tattoos
Just wanting to know who has them and who regrets them.
I have a few, half sleeve (not yet finished) on my right bicep, and two on my left bicep that are going to be covered up soon. My daughter and I are going on Sunday to get inked, I was debating on a forearm tattoo but am slightly reluctant simply for the fact that it can not be easily covered up. Not that it will be anything offensive ( thinking of a wing type tattoo), but I also don’t want to regret it. So, if you have any you regret or could change, post up and your reasons why.

I regret my tattoo i got at 18 years old. I'm not against them per se, but they are expensive and if you cant cover them up, it can close doors that should otherwise be open. no neck, hands or face.

If you are getting one in a location so that you can cover it up then You probably don’t need to get one. Even in the military, getting a tattoo can close many doors of opportunity for you.

Personally, I do not find tattooed women attractive at all.
As for men, whatever. I do not have any.

No 18 year old girl ever considered that a barb wire around her bicep will look like a picket fence at 60.

I don't have one and never will.
However I know people that have really nice ones - one old G/F had some really beautiful ones. I have some horrible ones too. This is True - I have a friend that is a Tattoo artist, he is dyslexic and color-blind. I told my son that when he went to College, that I would pay unless he got a Tattoo or got a girl pregnant. He graduated but got me on a Technicality - he got piercings! |

I don't have one but if I were to get one, I like the one Popeye has in his forearms.

I’m not worried about doors being closed. My department does not have a policy in regards to tattoos being visible. Hell, my Chief has a full sleeve, granted, he’s usually in a long sleeve shirt and tie.
BMR sales: is that really a true statement? A colorblind and dyslexic tattoo artist I also agree no neck hands or face

Ink
My son was in the Navy and got an anchor tatoo in every port they went. They wrap around his bicept, must be 7 or 8. Looks OK and he has a story for each of them. He can cover them easily.

I'd say no to anything north of a shirt collar, hands, or feet.
Personally I don't have any, but I have plenty of friends that do. I never saw anything that I wanted to put on my body for the rest of my life. Hell, I'm pretty definite on mods on my Camaro, but I'm sure a few of them will change eventually. Just remember, "Think before you ink".
