Pic Request: Forgestar F14s Gunmetal on IOM

I think I am downsizing to 20s next year. I was debating on getting the ZL1 but decided I am too young and should save my money for now. Ive got plenty more years to get one. Maybe I will get a 2017 ZL1 in the future!

I love the way 22s look, but I am getting a Hotchiks track pack so I can go autocross with the rest of the Socal Family and 22s won't cut it. Instead of having two sets of wheels (I was going to get some 19s for the track and swap them out when I go), It would be easier just to get some 20s.

I searched and couldn't find anything. I would like to see gunmetal 20s on IOM. I am going to be doing some more carbon fiber accents on my car and I think it would go well. I wish I could get the carbon fiber F14s but they are $$$. If not I will probably go with the matte black, but I feel like everyone is doing that haha.

With everything you have done on your car I think the textured black would look pimp.

Yeah but I want to do a carbon fiber roof and carbon fiber GFX so I think the gunmetal with an IOM pinstripe would look good with it. If not I will do the matte black, I prefer it over the textured.

I can't tell but it looks like the blackout strip on the rear of the car from taillight to taillight is gloss black and maybe the hash stripes are gloss black on the front is as well. If so, I'd go with Gloss Black Powdercoated F14's or if the stripes are flat black just go Matte Black wheels.

I preferred the gloss black powdercoated because that goes with the theme of my car a bit better, but I have different rims than the F14's.

All the vinyl on my car is satin black right now, so are my wheels. I am getting it painted next year hopefully. If I did the gunmetal wheels, I might have the rear and front blackouts painted dark grey (similar to the wheel color) and probably lose the hash marks. I am just looking to do something different. I love black wheels but I am really liking the gunmetal the more I see it.

With the paint job you're describing, the gunmetal would look sweet, and unique. Being unique with your car is always fun, and creates great attention.

Thinking back, I don't recall seeing any IOM cars with the gunmetal finish. I agree it would look great, and be a little different. That being said, most carbon accents are sort of dark, almost black at times. I'd probably lean towards the textured gunmetal finish for your car if you want a closer match.

Here is textured black vs textured gunmetal

Do you have a pic of the textured gunmetal next to the regular gunmetal?

Subscribed. I too have IOM and am leaning real hard on the gunmetal finish. I think it would really POP with the IOM and black accents I have done. I am not a big fan of black wheels.

Love this car! It sounds amazing. Here is an example of gray on IOM.

Found a pic of the gloss vs textured. How much darker is the textured in person? It looks a little darker in the pic.

Looking at this pic below of the matte black next to textured black, I think I don't think I like the textured. It looks cheap up close IMO.

The textured looks like a pile of shit in my opinion, ha-ha. It reminds me of the old iron weights in the gym. The textured look doesn't belong on rims.
