Sincere Apologies not accepted, what to do...
So, as many of you may know, I am a complete, and total smarta$$.
I enjoy arguing with, and systematically destroying the arguments of others. A couple of weeks back, I was involved in an embittered battle of words with another C5'r. The guy is a young man, with strong opinions, and I used that opportunity to try to talk to him. After it became clear that he had not interest in a fair discussion, I decided to eviscerate him. After doing so, I logged back in on the following Monday to find that the powers that be had deleted the thread. Not frozen it, but rather had it erased from existence That had not been my intention. I was having fun. I was bored at work. I was doing something that I do very well. So I sent a PM to the Op. I sincerely apologized. I said I was sorry, and that it was my fault, lesson learned. Then two weeks go by, I had almost forgotten about it. Then I get a nasty PM back from the Op. basically his PM says that he doesn't believe my apology. Hmmm. Well, I did apologize, and I did mean it. I wonder though if anyone else involved also apologized to him. It was also two weeks ago, and Op is still all Agro about it... What to do, what to do...

If someone can't get over a little hazzing via the internet then they are in for some serious psychological problems in the future and should schedule a psych consult ASAP.

I agree with you, I had seen it as all in good fun. However my behavior directly contributed to the Op's thread getting deleted so I apologized. Funny thing is that, not only did he basically refuse to accept my apology, he was real snotty about it, and then blocked me so I couldn't send him another PM explaining how sorry I truly was. Very mature on his part.

You apologized. You meant it. It's on him. There's only so much you can do after doing something wrong. Sometimes apologies won't be accepted, and such is life.

It's the internet, some people can't get over what is said here. If they can't then they have a problem. Don't worry about it, if the mods didn't issue any infractions it couldn't have been that bad.

Ah a day in the life of being on the internet It's not very often you hear an apology on the internet. At least you tried.

Sorry I was taught if you feel like you did something wrong you should apologise for your actions. It's up to the person you apologise to to accept it or not. By saying you never apologise for anything you are saying you are never wrong about anything. That sure is arrogant and untrue. Nobody is right 100 percent of the time.
