Everyone seems to forget that the L99 has Variable Valve Timing (VVT). This, as seen by some work Comp Cams has already done, will net huge gains with a cam install without the loss of low end opower that the LS3 will have.

Dont forget about Mast Motorsports. these guys have been making incredible leaps of power with VVT motors.

LS3 FTW.

Just for starters, it has more power. Plus, YOU drive the car...and not let the car drive you. It's a machine meant to be driven! Buy the stick!!!

(no offense to auto owners....)

Once you start modding, automatics have an advantage at the track.
With basic mods the L99 has huge potential. It should run some real fast times with basic bolt ons, a higher stall converter, and some sticky tires.
I'm actually really curious to see some track times from guys that have done converter swaps on L99s.

I would be happy with either one. I opted for the manual purely because I like to bleep the throttle between gears and I love the sound of that. The main disappointment for me regarding the auto is the cheap configuration of the entire shift console. My
Ford F150 has a better looking console.

The biggest advantage to the L99 A6 is your ability to smoke a Mustang GT while eating a Big Mac.
But seriously, I've done it.

FYI, the automatic equipped Camaro comes with a steering wheel that allows the owner to drive their own car. Is there one that actually does the driving for you as you mentioned? I haven't seen one if so.
