Sorry to ask, I did do a search but found conflicting results.

Question; friend of mine just had his Camaro street tuned with HP tuner. He claimed 473 hp and 453 tq. I asked how he came up with this and he said from the HP tuner that was used. Tuner told him it’s usually off by 1% compared to an actual dyno. Is this accurate or his he blowing smoke. Any help is appreciated.

Drek, thanks for the reply. I had never seen a post or anything else that indicated to me that hp tuner or any other program had a way of estimating hp. I guess I really don’t know everything.

Mine has always been fairly close, surprisingly. Never logged HP. This log isnt from the same day or conditions that my dyno/tune was done. but its not too far off.
