Totally agree. I hire staff for a living......and it is at an all time snails pace. NOBODY is quitting.

It is BAD, folks.

I think this recession/depression is far from being over. I've been in business for over 23 years here at the Jersey Shore and the last two years have been the worst by far. How are we as a nation suppose to dig ourselves out of this when there are really no manufacturing jobs left here in this country. As a country you can't keep closing down plants and shipping the jobs to China and expect to be prosperous.

Gotta love that hope and change this is what happens when a bunch of out of touch overpaid (could go on an adjective war here) government people are running things for their own adjenda and not for us. Just makes me sick and wonder what my kids are in for.

The economy will go back and forth over the next few years. The drop we took from the highpoint of teh stock market was pretty big. with that being said, due to the nature of my line of work I get to see numerous companies financial information. Many show profits or minimal losses. Thats good considering how tough 2009 was. Most companies are on upswing but are reluctant to add overhead out of fear . They rather wait it out and make the few do the work of many until they are absolutely sure. Many hire temps to spot fill jobs without making the full commitment. The ecomomy is on the rebound its how does the consumers and business appetite for risk will dictate what they do .
