2018 2SS 1LE

Does anyone on here know when the 1LE package will be available on the 2SS? I know Chevrolet has said the 1LE package will have "late availablility" but what does that mean? Is that later this year like this fall or late in the model year like next spring? Any insight would help me, I'm trying to plan my next purchase and the "late availability" nonsense is frustrating.

There haven't been any announcements or even leaked information, so no one knows. You're not the only one waiting for the 2SS 1LE.

Glen, check page 4 of the 2018 Camaro Playbook. They give the specs on the Camaro SS 1LE. It includes:

Magnetic Ride Control
eLSD
20" Satin Graphite Wheels
6-piston Brembo brakes
Dual mode exhaust
Satin Black hood wrap
suede wrapped wheel and shifter
Recaro seats
extra cooling

The 2SS cannot be configured with this package now, but according to the Playbook and Order guide, will be available later in the model year.

Those options were available on the 2017 build as well.

I still think there will be a true 1le option for 2018. Manual only just like the 5th gen.

It's gonna be pricey when it's all said and done.

There have been several announcements stating that the 2018 camaro will be available with the 1le performance package, not just the track package. In each of those announcements it also states that this combo will have "late availability". I was expecting that when we were able to build the 2018 model online that we would be able to build it with the 1le performance package not just the track package and see the pricing. I checked the press releases and the 2018 playbook again to make sure I was reading everything correctly and it clearly says that, "new for 2018 the 1le performance package will be available with the 2ss trim". I have tried to speak with the customer service group via chat and I have asked a few dealers. I have to say the lack of knowledge about chevrolet products from these groups is astonishing. So I am hoping someone on here may have some insight or at least have an idea what chevy means when they say "late availability".

Are you assuming that someone at GM corporate has the answers, and yet they're intentionally withholding them from their service groups and dealerships, or not making the information easily available?

Have you considered the possibility that perhaps GM corporate themselves haven't yet confirmed the details such as the availability date and pricing?

Which is what I said last night and was called a troll.........

"They currently off the 2SS with a 1LE suspension package for MY2018, and this can be had with an auto or manual. In addition, it requires magride. Even with both the suspension and magride, though, GM will not officially call the car a "2SS 1LE" nor grant it any of the distinct appearance mods that the 1SS 1LE gets. Ie: There will be nothing on the car that actually has a "1LE" logo."

I just want to add this to the table or maybe even support some comments from above:

On the updates from GM the RPO for the 1LE Track Package is "AY1"
The 1LE Suspension package is RPO "SCJ." 1LE Suspension ONLY

All of the GM updates and releases are showing AY1 and D88 (1LE Hashmark) has been added to the 2SS "Late Availability."

2018 Camaro Playbook says that the AY1, RPO includes:

Magnetic Ride Control
eLSD
20" Satin Graphite Wheels
6-piston Brembo brakes (W/O Slotted)
Dual mode exhaust
Satin Black hood wrap
suede wrapped wheel and shifter
Recaro seats
extra cooling

Stop over thinking it. It will be a 1LE because that is what AY1 means! 1LE

That is what the wrapped hood is for. 1LE
That is what the Graphite Wheels are signature 1LE.
Finally the Track lovers the Recaro (Heated and Cooled Seats) Just like the ZL1 and ZL1 1LE.

I think WhyUMad1LE is spot on! Nothing confirmed at Camarofest. Renegade is trolling... and does not know.

Thank you. There are so many threads where people post that 2SS 1LE will be limited to the $2k suspension package on the configurator. One can see here that is not the case:

http://eogld.cloud.gm.com/NASApp/dom...ehicleID=21125

And the Renegade man does nothing but troll here, 99% of his posts are negativity and reasons why he thinks the 6th gen sucks compared to 5th gen.
