So just shop around and find some coil packs with a price that you are comfortable with regardless of the brand and replace them all. Though I would stay away from Ebay and Amazon for this as it is more likely that you will get a bad coil. |

So I have determined that none of those coils are name brand.
I've read about the "hotter" truck coils D585 or 10457730. I'll think I'll go with those. |

In the LS world, the square truck coils with the large heat sinks are considered the most desirable.

What I would do is get some real scan data posted & don't guess. These guys here know what they are doing & more info will help. It looks to me like the previous owner was using what they had opposed to what they needed. I have to wonder if they were chasing a problem & used those coils to see if there was any change. Any vehicle history & more pics could help also.

No, they (GM GENUINE 19418993) are the most desirable but even those crappy round ones work. If I had to pick from all the ones on RockAuto, I would choose this DELPHI GN10639 since Delphi makes them for GM. Of course, I would not change all 8 either. I'm not even convinced your current coils are not working.
Of course, all manufacturers build to a spec so even good companies like Delphi and Denso can make marginal products, particularly for other companies who are reselling. It's like when people say Blue Point is the same as Snap On, nope. Blue Point is good, but not Snap On. Like most guys on here, I recommend what I have had good results from.

Any chance this has a nonstock cam?
The LS is usually pretty good at identifying which cylinder is misfiring so I wouldn't replace anything without having more detail about which actual cylinder is misfiring, or finding out if it is more than one cylinder. |

It is throwing no related codes, just EVAPs. Tuner said it likely had a cam that had the AFM delete or something like that
