Need opinions on this deal for a 2013 SS
So I found a dealer selling a 2013 SS w/21k miles for 26k even. It has a clean history, no accidents or anything. The only thing on the history is that it was originally a rental car before being sold at auction and picked up by this dealership. I've seen dozens of pictures and it's in excellent condition and incredibly clean.
I've been looking at '13 SS's for weeks and I have NEVER seen one that low priced with that few miles...most dealers are around 28k to 29k minimum or higher. What do you guys think? Should I pull the trigger? |

That does sound like a good deal.
However, lots of people abuse rental cars like red headed step children, so it may have a lot of wear and tear. Maybe get it checked out by a mech that you trust.

For reference pictures are here:
http://floridacars.slickpic.com/s/OT...MAROSS?squared Looks clean and the guy says it drives like a dream...but I dunno. My dad lives about 2 hours from this dealership and since he's a mechanic and muscle car guy himself I might ask him to drive over there and check it out for me. I trust his opinion so if he gives me the green light, I might have to buy her. |

I guess i'm the opposite. I would never drive a rental car like that. Don't want to risk something happening to the car for which I would then be responsible.

Shop around and see what other camaros that year and mileage are going for (just in case). If this car is the best (not just price; The best condition, with the color and options that you want) for the money then I'd say that its a good deal.

I bought a rental car for my wife and it has been the best Van we have ever had but I bought one 20 years ago and it was crap. If I rented a Camaro I would run the crap out of it.

Ah unfortunately i'm not looking for a manual. It will be my daily driver and honestly a manual would get old really fast in Atlanta traffic. Thanks for the offer though.

My budget is 26k, which is why I jumped on this one and started talking to the dealer. You don't find many '13 SS models that low.

Make sure you are ok with not getting the RS package before you jump at it.
You should be able to get dealers to knock 14-15% off leftover 13's but that is still way above 26K Good luck! |

Buy LikaRokBowTie's car. I live in Atlanta and drive a stick. It's not bad at all in traffic and you'll enjoy it more than the L99. I would stay away from rental cars. I had a Pontiac Grand Am as a first car that was an old rental and had no problems, but that's not a sports car. People rent them just to dog them out.
