When you say "tracked it", do you mean that you had it on a road course? That will eat tires up like crazy.

If not, your alignment could be off. We had a customer come in with 10k miles and his fronts were chewed down to the cords on the inside. GM paid for an alignment and brand new tires. Have your dealer check it out.

I have over 25k miles on my fronts and they are just getting close to needing replacement.

Has anybody tried the Firestone Firehawks? They make them for our front and rear (20") but in a lower profile. They are cheaper than the pzero and conti's & have great reviews and some even say they like them more than the Conti' DW's. Some of the corvette guys have been using them. I might try these when it's time to toss the Pzero's. here is a link for the rears http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes

Wait...cancel that: It is a $1000 buy in...BUT "excludes fleet vehicles and performance cars with different sized front and rear tires"

so put the same size on the front that you have on the rear, problem solved

Thats actually about right for street tires used on street and track. ^k miles should get you one track day and the rest street miles. The only way to inprove on that is get track specific tires, and change them out.

I got 23000 out of mine and I have to get a set before this winter starts. The backs are my fault but the fronts.....come one. I drive normal too. Oh well.

Tracking (road course) kills fronts. Burnouts kill rears.

Aggressive street driving is pretty much even all around.

Another thing not mentioned here is poor alignment specs. If your car has too much or too little toe, it will prematurely wear the tires out in a hurry. Usually noticeable by just one half of the tread wearing out more than the other. This applies to front or rear, since we have the independent suspension.

Toe out - inside of tire worn
Toe in - outside of tire worn
