mildew smell when opening window?

If I have my driver side window down and I go to open my passenger side window, as soon as the window opens I get a mildew smell for a little while...like a damp smell, the it seems to go away. Anybody heard of this, or better yet smelled of this.

maybe water is stuck in the window compartment and is causing that smell?

What is more strange to me, is that you smell it with the window open and not the window up.

Makes no sense, can you smell anything mildew when you put your window down while parked? if not I think youre just passing near something thats mildew smelling, otherwise youd smell it parked.

Are there drain holes in the bottom of the door? could they be plugged up? My second guess is that a piece of paper ended up inside your door at the factory, got wet and started to grow mold. I hope you solve it.

That's a wild guess!

Have you seen this happen before or something?

There has been threads about this and instead of being an ass and throwing up the search (which sucks) I will tell you...

The window felt is molded. Have it replaced. Several others have had the same issue and once they had the window felt replaced, it was fine...

You could do a search if you'd like to read more... if you could get it to work right!
