Steering wheel swap?

Not sure this is the best place for this, but since my issue is with the wheel buttons for radio/cruise, I'm trying here - if there's a better place, my apologies, pls direct me.

Just got my 2011 2LT/RS last week and love almost everything except the steering wheel buttons. The buttons are difficult to reach, especially the phone/mic control buttons, because the "dish" of the wheel spokes is ridiculously deep. I sat in a 2014 on the lot the day I bought mine and noticed that the '14 steering wheel spokes are almost flat and the buttons are much easier to reach, not to mention that the shape of the rim itself seems to better fit my hands.

So: can the later model wheel be directly swapped on my 2011? If so, is it a self-contained swap, or will other column trim pieces or the like be required as well? Same airbag in both?

Thanks!

Steve
