SLP vs ACH headers

Slp headers look nice and are ceramic coated and cost alittle less then ARH headers. Any good advice? Like to here from owners of SLP headers?

I am assuming you mean the ARH (American Racing Headers)? If so, SLP is a nice cheaper option, but if you are looking for maximum power, generally the ARH system is good for about 10 more rwhp minimum. So you are paying for more power with the ARH system, plus the ARH system is constructed from 304 stainless, SLP is 409 stainless. 304 stainless is a more expensive material, a little bit lighter, and has better heat retaining characteristics. Also, the ARH system goes all the way back to the axle, SLP stops halfway back.

I bought the header package from SLP, P/N 30214. I already had the SLP LM II. SLP documents 28 HP gain at the rear wheels, with no tune. My butt dyno agrees it put some power to the pavement. I haven't had my radio on since I installed them, SLP got it right on the sound ommiting from the tuned exhaust, truely high performance music to my ears.

I already have the Loudmouth II and was considering the same set up. What did you pay? How was the install? Did everything install pretty easy?

I have at least 5k miles on my SLP longtubes going into powerflow mufflers. I little more droony than I would like at some highway speeds (say 1200 – 1800rpms), but at others, its sounds awesome.
I’ve tuned out the AFM in all but a select rpm band in 5th and 6th, but I will likely tune it all the way out. AFM and performance exhaust just don’t mix
