Installed Kooks headers today

Kooks headers arrived today, so figured I'd spend a couple of hours getting the project started. Next thing I know I'm almost finished! By far the easiest header install I've ever done. Started a 7 pm and called it a night at 10:05. The only things left to do is re-install the spark plugs, wires and O2 sensors. Oh, and the dipstick.

I've got a set of these in my living room waiting to be installed. Finally got the car out of storage just need to find some time to do the install. I'd be interested in any further tips/comments from your install!

While I'm thinking about it, did you re-use your stock gaskets or the Kooks fiber ones? Or did you go new stock?
Thanks!

Do you have a before and after dyno to compare gains??

I had a decent gain when I added long tubes.

Either reuse the stock gaskets or get some new OEM manifold gaskets. We recommend new OEM gaskets. Cheap insurance against leaks.

Tips:
Remove the strut tower brace. Makes it easier to get to everything.
Hit the exhaust bolts (holding the cat pipe to the exhaust manifold) and O2 sensors with WD40 the night before.
Get the car well off the ground. Makes it easier to slide the headers in from the bottom.
Don't use the cheap gaskets that came with them. Use the GM ones. PN: 12617944

It's actually pretty easy.
Tools:
10 mm socket
13 mm socket
15 mm socket
O2 sensor tool
Spark plug socket
Anti-seize

Probably not going to dyno it again before I put the 9.55 crank pulley and FIC850's on.

Here's another tidbit of information.
Stock manifolds =10.5 lb each
Cat pipes =12 lb each

Kooks headers = 12 lb each
Cats = 3 lb each

Weight savings= 15 lbs
