I got mine a little cheaper doing a Yahoo! search, but here's one on Amazon:

Ok, I'm an idiot. The Boyo camera is now generating a great image.

I incorrectly assumed that the yellow and white wires coming from the camera were the video positive and negative. Not true! The white wire does nothing, so the video signal was not grounded properly previously. All is great now!

I am even more of an idiot than I thought - the white wire actually causes the camera image to not be reversed. This is an important feature if the monitor does not handle the image properly, or if you want the camera mounted on the front license plate for some reason.

I thought the idea of an image of a back up camera in the mirror was stupid. I just bought my wife a 2011 GMC Terrain and it has this in the mirror and I am totally loving it. I am actually looking for places to back up now, lol. I would love to do this on the Camaro, but I'm not good with soldering.

The one that I bought does. The eBay seller had mirrors with different options though, some with Onstar, some without, etc.

I got mine using the "make an offer" option in eBay for $210 shipped. Hopefully he would honor this price for others as well, but you would have to check with him.

Just found it online through auto part recyclers out of OK for $145 shipped. Out of a 2011 Silverado. GM uses them in numerous vehicles... W will see when it arrives!

So what wires did you actually have to run to the back of the car? And the switched +12V activates when you shift into reverse?

The camera has three wires that are needed (in a common sheath) - a positive, negative, and video. The switched (when in reverse) power comes from the mirror, and the ground can be found at the mirror. The video feeds into the mirror.

Not much to it.

I went to www.car-parts.com and did a search for SILVERADO mirror. I found several for 2010 and 2011.

I am trying to get a bulk purchase through a local recycler here in Sacramento on ALL of there LCD mirrors. If I do, I will be able to offer them to all. Also have a guy who is making the plugs for them. Trying to get them plugNplay for us camaro owners, so there will be no tapping into wires! We'll see in the next day or so...
