I am ready and thank you for what you're doing!

PS..... Just got the hookup at FORD for the same thing..... Guess thats going to be the next thing for me!
Did you check to see if maybe GM is using KET for the pins and connector? I know some of their newer projects they have been sourcing connectors and terminals from KET.

Actually got it from Tyco and Delphi... Believe it or not....

ALSO... The connector is NOT molded into the mirror.. See picture...

I will check out KET also.. Thanx for the info... Can't have too many sources!

The manufacturer lied to me (not a surprise) and said they don't make a stand alone connector. They said they just make what's molded into the units and the mate. Oh well... at least somebody got ahold of the right connector.

They flip flop around a lot. There's a ton of JST connectors in the Camaro as well as Delphi/Packard. I originally was looking at JST for the connector but, it ended up (at least as far as the print goes) being another manufacturer, whose name is escaping me at the moment (it's late). It wasn't Tyco or Packard though.

Install Troubleshooting

I've just installed the ivs rear view camera plug n play kit. only had to splice in a green wire that detects transmission in reverse and activates the camera. when I put it inreverse the camera comes on but so does my dome light. as a matter of fact, if I turn on my domelight while driving, the camera comes on as well. I've double checked the wiring but it's correct. waiting for the manufacturer to call me back. In the mean time, does anyone have any ideas how to fix this problem?

WOW! Just realized why the dome light seemed to be crossed with the back up camera. I had spliced the green wire correctly but I discovered the diagram in the installation instructions is inverted. You can barely see Chevys markings on the K9 Body Control Module. Chevy numbers it from left to right but the ivs diagram on page 5 is numbered right to left. I re-spliced the green wire and PRESTO! The back up camera is now working properly.

Nothing lost, you just gain a neat LCD image when in reverse!
