Launch
Curious to see what everybody who has an M6 car launches at. I have my LNC-2000 I use to pull timing for my nitrous. But have not wired it in to do the 2 step. It’s a 2015 1LE Cam, Bolt ons, Runs on Ethanol/Ignite, motor mounts, 6 puck clutch and nitrous. 650+ when turned up, head work (stock port) 17x10.5 rear on the new set up I’m getting with 17x7 fronts.

3500-5000 depending on how the tires stick. It all depends on the tires.

305/45/17 ET STREET R 215/65/17 Fronts That is the combo I’m going to run. Mainly we do street stuff, but I have been getting into events and what not as well. |

I ran my car at the track for the first time yesterday. I'm running a n2mb WOT box with 275/40/17 M/T ET Street R tires and the mods in my signature. I was launching at 4K rpms, and I think that might have been too much because I spun both times I launched. Only got 2 passes because of a high car count, so I didn't really get to practice much. I probably wasn't slipping the clutch enough on the launch. Hard to tell, but if I can't get it to hook up with the clutch I'll likely lower the 2 step down to 3.5K rpms and see if that is better.

Unfortunately, it's completely dependent on the track and the tires. I've been on street tires that needed to leave at 2400 to work right, and I've been on drag radials that wanted to leave at 5000+. Usually, I try to pick a starting point I'm pretty confident will be lower than what the track will take, make a hit, see how it responds, and then dial in some more for the second whack, rinse and repeat till I step over what it wants and then I've got it about dialed. I also always preload the drive line, try to get out any slop so it doesn't get shock-loaded as hard, and then I use a (relatively) slow clutch release.

Lol - I was pretty confused on how you got got DR2's to spin so bad when you messaged me, but once I saw the video it made a lot of sense. I bet replacing a brand new ring gear will etch deeply into your mind the need to be easy with that left foot. Live and learn.

I suck and I need more practice. Only got 2 passes at the first test and tune. My best was 12.73 @ 115mph w/ 1.98 60'. I'm going to test & tune again tomorrow. I hope to show some improvement in both the 60' and the ET.

Having a very hard time getting any good times with mine as well. Just can't seem to get it off the line and rolling without blowing the tires off. Even lowering the tire pressure to 25psi, it still does it.
